Oh My PLC!

Host:
The only game show about PLC devices that we're aware of. Again, how this works. I'll ask our contestants a question and the first one to buzz in with the correct answer gets the point. But to really amp things up, we offer the contestants a chance to steal. Now, that's entertainment. Let's begin with the exciting conclusion of Oh My PLC! Identify one primary benefit of using IoT technology to enhance machine performance and make it more valuable to your customer. Really? Nobody has anything here. Travis, your answer.

Travis:
Well they probably could turn it on from their phones. So, that's nice.

Host:
Not exactly. Travis, are you okay? Did you hit your head during the break?

Travis:
No.

Host:
There it is. Asma, you know the answer, I'm sure.

Asma:
You know it. The IoT or Internet of things means more things are connected to the Internet, which is cool because then customers can put their things online and who doesn't like that, right?

Host:
What? What's happening? It shouldn't be that hard. Oh no. Sure. Go ahead Josh.

Josh:
With some simple onboard communication servers, you can enable data access to facility-wide controllers and put all your data in one place without crazy wiring or programming. There's a whole slew of ways to put the Internet of things to work for you and your customers. Anyone with access to the network can now monitor and configure their machine remotely. Even little old Nano PLCs are starting to include email capability to push reports and notifications to your teams in real time.

Host:
What in the programmable logic controllers just happened here? Did Josh just win? Josh? You just won. You not only have the glory of a come from behind win, but you get the grand prize, a better understanding of the benefits of using Eaton PLCs.

Josh:
Hey, what? Benefits of Eaton PLCs. I thought this was going to be a cruise. I was told it was going to be a cruise.

Host:
