About the Speakers:

Ali Maleki, CEO, Traxen

Prior to launching Traxen, Ali served as the executive director of innovations and next ventures at Nexteer; vice president of connected and autonomous vehicles at Ricardo; and director of electrical systems at Fisker, CODA Automotive and Meritor. He has also held lead engineering roles at Bendix, Visteon and Continental. Throughout his career he has overseen innovative and high-tech projects related to ADAS and automated vehicles, electric vehicles, connectivity, infotainment and telematics, body and chassis control products, and more. He holds multiple patents for his work.

Maleki earned a master’s degree in business administration from Wayne State University, a master’s degree in electrical and computer engineering from Cleveland State University and a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from Saginaw Valley State University. Additionally, he received an Entrepreneurship Professional Certificate from Stanford University.

Michael Roeth, Executive Director, NACFE and Principal, NA Freight, RMI​

Mike has worked in the commercial vehicle industry for nearly 40 years, is the Executive Director of the North American Council for Freight Efficiency and is the trucking lead for RMI. Mike’s specialty is brokering green truck collaborative technologies into the real world at scale. He currently serves as the trucking voice on the Electric Vehicle Working Group (EVWG) of the Joint Office of Energy and Transportation. In October 2021, Mike was named an Industry Influencer by FleetOwner and was awarded the prestigious SAE 2020 L. Ray Buckendale Lecturer and manuscript author. He has a Bachelor of Science in Engineering from the Ohio State University and a Master’s in Organizational Leadership from the Indiana Institute of Technology. Roeth served on the second National Academy of Sciences, Engineering, Medicine Committee on Reducing Fuel Consumption and Greenhouse Gas Emissions of Medium- and Heavy-Duty Vehicles, is a Department of Energy Merit Reviewer and past Chairman of the Board for the Truck Manufacturers Association. He understands the customers, operations and intricacies of the commercial vehicle industry having held various positions with Navistar and Behr/Cummins.
