Eaton's portfolio includes vacuum replacement breakers, breaker to vacuum starter replacements and ground and test devices. VHC-Series+ vertical to horiztonal conversion

Reduce maintenance and increase safety for GE Magne-Blast metal-clad switchgear with this reversible vertical-to-horizontal conversion that requires no cutting or drilling of the original vertical cell structure and does not violate the original metal-clad integrity.

Eaton’s medium-voltage breaker to vacuum starter replacements offer an efficient and cost-effective solution for electric utility generation and process industries that apply power circuit breakers as motor starters. This combined power circuit breaker/vacuum contactor offers an optimal solution, with:

  • Draw-out capability
  • Ability to use the same cell interface components for levering and interlocking
  • Little to no cell modifications
  • Current limiting fuses as primary fault protection
  • Mechanically latched
  • Switching duty life of up to 250,000 operations
  • Compatibility and testing to IEEE/ANSI C37.59-2018

Medium-voltage ground and test devices

Eaton’s medium-voltage ground and test devices are used to apply temporary grounding to the phase conductors of switchgear during maintenance and testing of the equipment. With a draw out safety device that can be inserted into a circuit breaker cubicle in the same manner as the VR-Series, the ground and test devices are available as a single or dual terminal. 

  • Designed for insertion into the circuit breaker compartment to gain access to the primary stationary contacts or ground the circuit for maintenance work
  • Meets IEEE Std C27.20.6 2015
  • Ability to apply potential for cable testing
  • Enables access to both bus and line circuits for “phasing out” tests
  • Meets OSHA and NFPA 70E requirements

Remote power racking system (RPR-2.1)

Eaton’s RPR-2.1 enables remote racking of many manufacturers' low- and medium-voltage circuit breakers that can be inserted or removed using the rotation of a shaft. Operators may remain 25 feet or more away from the switchgear door during the racking process, which is outside of the arc flash protection boundary.
